The Thirteenth Tiree Tech Wave was held 23–28 March 2017.
The weather was even more glorious than TTW12, so frisbee and baseball competed with laser-cutting and arduino! However, between periods in the sunshine there was also plenty of other activity including:
- the Tiree telephone box project attracted significant interest with concrete plans as well as lots of fun
- Liam Cavin a statistician working for the Scottish Government gave a workshop about open data available at statistics.gov.scot and how to use it.
- following the data theme, Alan ran a short tutorial on ‘understanding statistics’ the day before TTW13 started.
- SICSA, the Scottish Informatics and Computer Science Alliance, also sponsored two attendees at TTW
Technology at the edge – interview with Alan, following visit to Open Lab Newcastle, focused on Tiree Tech Wave and rural technology.
