The UK Digital Economy Network funded the attendance of 10 PhD students at TTW12.  The Digital Economy Network connects a number of universities with a joint mission to “research to rapidly realise the transformational impact of digital technologies on aspects of community life, cultural experiences, future society, and the economy“.

The students came as part of a project “Exploring Common Values: Diving Deeply into the Digital Frontier“, with the aim of developing “a greater understanding into the impact remote locations have upon people, technology and what matters to them (their values)“.
